Getting started
Your first hour with CIS
One path, start to finish. Follow it in order and you'll be looking at real suggestions by the end.
Last updated: 30 Aug 2026 ยท Onboarding: LinkedIn sync + ATLAS voice capture as first-class wizard steps (#2265)
Before you start
Free to start
No card and no password to set up. You sign in with a secure email link, and you can skip any step below and come back to it later โ nothing is a one-shot decision.
The six steps
1
Create your workspace
Go to the sign-up page and enter your email address. CIS sends you a secure sign-in link โ click it on the same device and browser you signed up on and your workspace is ready. No password to remember. If you open the link somewhere else (a different device, browser or a new incognito tab), your email will be confirmed but you won't be signed in โ go to the sign-in page and request a fresh link there to finish.
2
Bring your LinkedIn network
Your first onboarding step asks you to upload your own LinkedIn Connections.csv (we show you exactly how to download it from LinkedIn first). One click, your own file, your own consent โ nothing ever logs into LinkedIn on your behalf. CIS reads it immediately and maps names, roles, companies and LinkedIn profiles automatically. You can skip this and come back to it later from /app/connectors.
3
Sound like you, not a template
Paste a call transcript or a piece of your own writing โ an email, a LinkedIn post, anything in your real voice. CIS queues it to build your Voice Signature, so anything it drafts for you reads like you wrote it, not a generic template. Skippable โ nothing is drafted in your voice until you do this.
4
Tell CIS who you want to meet
In your own words: your ideal client or contact, what a strong opportunity actually looks like, and anyone or anywhere that's a firm no. This is what makes the matching real โ your words, not a guess.
5
See your first connections
Open your workspace. CIS has already started ranking your network โ who's worth reaching out to today, and why โ alongside a running view of every relationship and where it stands.
6
Ask CIS anything
Every contact has its own chat. Ask it to summarise what you know about someone, to suggest the best way to open a conversation, or to remind you what you last discussed.
What happens next
It keeps getting better
The more you use CIS โ logging calls, adding notes, saying yes or no to a suggestion โ the sharper its sense of your network becomes. It's built to compound, not to be set up once and left alone.
Keep going
